About Civiballs Xmas

Civiballs Xmas Levels is the third game in the Civiballs series. This game surprisingly enough offers new and existing players a festive theme. While some may disagree and say this is just an extension to the second game, the new title suggests that this is in fact the third game in the successful series. In this guide, we will explore the Civiballs Xmas game and what it has to offer.

For those of you who have not played the Civiballs series before, the game is a tactical physics based puzzle game which is suitable for all different types of gamers. However, this game has been reviewed as difficult by many; therefore, you may find that it is not suitable for children.

The objective of the game is to release balls that are hanging from either a rope or a chain to roll them into their respective coloured 'pots'. Only when all the balls are in their pots can you move onto the next level.

Obviously (as the name suggest) Civiballs Xmas Levels has a much more festive graphical layout, and differs from the first and second games in a few ways. While the basic premise of the game remains the same, the background, music and level layouts all differ from the other two games in the series.

This time, instead of 30 levels there are just 20 levels for you to tackle, which adds to the argument that this is, in fact, an extension of the second game rather than a 'new' game completely. The levels increase in difficultly, and require you to think, rather than just attempt them without a plan.

Each level has a starting clock of 100 seconds, and your points are devised on how quickly you complete the level. For example, if you complete the level in ten seconds then you will score 90 points. If you get stuck or make a mistake on the level then you can press spacebar to restart the level (which also restarts the clock).

The best way to approach this game is to start the level, take a look at your options and devise a plan. Many players even have a pen and paper to hand as it helps them to visualise what will actually happen.

The Xmas edition of Civiballs brings a much needed 20 level extension and some festive cheer to all Civiballs gamers. It also does not stray from the game that made it such a success in the first place; therefore, it could not really go too wrong.
